Every man has and need a dream to push him forward and to incentivize him to work harder and smarter. Many of us dream of buying a new luxury car or to acquire the latest gadget or of owning a better luxury home in an enviable area and most of us work day and night to achieve those dreams. But are these really needs or just a subconscious effort to catch up with the others just a never ending futile rat race. To be precise, thank God we’re just the privileged lot who can afford to dream such ‘trivial luxuries. In stark contrast, have you ever wondered about a group who dream of proving their kids a wholesome meal at least once in a day, a group who dream of providing their kids a decent change of clothes so that they may tide over the harshness of the everchanging climate and a group who just dream of a roof over their head, a place of their own to rest their head in peace after a tiring day. Yes, there are a whole lot of less fortunate people who are out there toiling hard for their bare sustenance. Their dismal surroundings are not their own making or fault but a culmination of the low socioeconomic status they were brought up in. It would be a kind deed if we could make a less fortunate child smile just by fulfilling at least one of their basic needs, a home. In God’s Own Country, Kerala there are many who cannot afford to have a house. A group of friends formed House4All in November 2020 with a mission to build affordable housing for those in need. House4All is a non-profit organization with a vision to build eco-friendly, budget houses to provide shelter for those who really need it.
